Black girl magic: Rihanna,Kelly Rowland slay in Dior

Can we just talk about how awesome Rihanna and Kelly Rowland looked Thursday at the 2018 Dior Resort show in Malibu,California? The singers both dressed in Dior, Rihanna choosing a belted fur top and jeans, while Kelly rocked a beautiful cream floral applique dress for the occasion, accessorizing with a black leather jacket.

Rihanna’s look was the perfect casual-diva style, going super dramatic and sassy with the belated fur blouse, but also toning down the fierceness just a little by pairing the look with loose fit jeans and wedge heels. I absolutely love this look, as well as Rihanna’s dark hair (my fave hair color on her). This look was just the right amount of drama and edge for this pop star, and I think this may be one of her best outfits to date!

The beautiful Kelly Rowland is always so well put together, and uber-feminine. Her floral appliqué dress showcased her silhouette in a classy manner, yet still showing enough skin to keep it sexy. The color of the dress was perfect for her beautiful skin tone, and I absolutely loved her braids! Kelly really seems to be glowing and nailing this fashion thing these days!

I loved seeing these two beautiful women together, and look forward to seeing more great style out of both! What do you think of the wardrobe choices?

A few reasons why I already love Victoria Beckham for Target

Victoria Beckham is known for her excellent style and lovely fashion collections. Beckham has now taken the fashion world by storm once again with her new collaboration with Target, a collection that includes clothing for not just women, but toddlers, babies, and king girls also. The collections are inspired by the experiences shared between Victoria Beckham and her beautiful daughter. While I love the kiddie pieces,I’m gonna talk about just the super cute women’s collection.

Beckham’s Target collection is perfect and right on time for Spring and Summer! The beautiful calla lily print Beckham put throughout the collection was placed against a simple black background, causing the beautiful florals to stand out and add a sophisticated softness to the collection. I love this ruffle hem satin dress, and how the floral print remixes the little black dress in such a fun way!

Bold pink was added to the collection, a color that never gets old when Spring and Summer roll around. The pink separates really caught my eye because they can be mixed and matched in so many different ways, including simply being worn together as shown above. This is one of my absolute fave colors , so I was really excited for these pieces.

Another bold color that stood out to me was the tangerine displayed above on this playful, flirty romper, and beautiful ruffle hem mini dress. This is another beautiful gem tone inspired color that I love to see throughout the year, and the color is extremely flattering on almost every skin tone.

The black and white scallop Midi skirt is probably my favorite piece out of the collection.i love the black and white color scheme  (y’all know that’s my favorite!)  and this alternating colors and the fit make this skirt flattering on all body types. This skirt can be slimming but also enhance or create a curvy silhouette. I’m all for it! Another black and white favorite out of the collection was the white shift dress with an antique style floral print. This dress is another flattering piece for all body types, and to me was one of the most sophisticated pieces of the collection.

Two things that stood out in a major way for this collection is that Victoria Beckham included a diverse group of models, which is something not everyone chooses to do, and that that Beckham included plus size pieces in her collection. Both of these things mean a lot to me,and it makes me want to support Victoria Beckham’s clothing lines even more. Kudos to Beckham for being aware of and willing to include women of color and plus size women. I am always ready to applaud those designers that are willing to accept everyone as equals and understand that we all deserve the same great style!

I could go on and on about the rest of the  lovely collection, but the beautiful pieces speak for themselves. Victoria Beckham definitely did a great job in her Target collaboration, and I can’t wait to shop the full collection online on April 9th!

Rihanna’s new Fenty x Puma Collaboration: My faves

So Rihanna has done it again, collaborating with Puma for a new collection of shoes, and I must say I liked a few more this time around. This time around, more bold color was introduced, and variations of the first training sneaker (which I absolutely loved).

This was probably my fave of the new collection ,due to the color, the pattern detail, and the sleek style of the shoe altogether. This wine color is such a rich, stand out color that makes everything look dope. I can see myself rocking the heck out of these shoes with skinny jeans and a simple white tank, or an off the shoulder sweater. I’m going to have to add these to my collection.

More faves included the variations of the trainer sneaker in different colors, like the hot pink “fierce bright” style and the fierce blue and black ones. I love that these shoes are bad ass enough to be unisex, although they’re labeled for women. The black and knit training sneaker is a stand out also, and what’s a Rihanna collection without some kind of edgy abstract print?

I’m torn between loving and hating this shoe. I absolutely love the color and the bow on top instead of shoelaces. I think that makes the shoes absolutely adorable! However, I’m not sure if I’m liking the super extra chunky heel of the shoe. It reminds me of girly space shoes, or a remixed version of the  butt lifting Skechers that used to be a hot commodity (remember those? Do they still make those? I may or may not want another pair…). I was hoping to see this beautiful olive green color in the training sneaker, instead of cream or white.

Overall the collection is pretty dope, and there’s something for everyone. What do you think?

Get the Look: Ashley Graham

I love Ashley Graham’s red carpet and step out style. I decided to take one of her recent looks and recreate it on a more affordable budget for myself and others who need a nice outfit to wear out on the town. The look I created is under $200, approximately $175. Affordable, right?

Bodycon skirt: $29 -Glamorous

Jacket: $45 -SheIn

Bralet: $25 -H&M

London Fashion Week 2017 faves: Joseph

What I really like about the designer of this collection is that their tailoring always seems to be great. The oversized, yet well tailored suit separates really set this collection off! The collection was a great mix of feminine meets androgynous, which is something JOSEPH is well known for in the fashion world.

Bold Fall colors were used to lighten up many of the minimalism inspired pieces, including a bold red, classic navy blue , cream/off white, blush, and a beautiful olive green. My absolute fave piece of this collection is the green utilitarian style jumper. That’s hot!

I could totally see singer Solange rocking the heck out of this collection! Or even Lady Gaga. What do you think?

London Fashion Week faves 2017: Emilia Wickstead

Emilia Wickstead never disappoints! This season’s collection included a more relaxed style ,yet the pieces were still very elegant. Jeans were included in this new collection, something the designer hasn’t incorporated before. This was a great move, pairing denim and more casual styles with luxurious fabrics.

The sparkly, silver sequin dress and skirt were major stand outs in this collection, giving off a disco goddess vibe. Beautiful floral and abstract prints decorated many of the well tailored separates the models wore down the runway.

Soft hues of blue, gray, and light florals made this collection come alive. Another great standout for the collection were the long coats added. A color block coat perfect for adding a pop of color during Fall/Winter was worn over a beautiful blue floral print mini dress, while a tailored double breasted coat with an abstract print also served as a crowd fave.

This is definitely a collection I’d wear ! What do you think? Would you like to rock these looks?

NYFW faves 2017: Versus Versace

Versus Versace came out swinging with a bold collection! There was a nice mash up of edgy vs sexy in this collection. Men and women walked the runway, however my faves were the playful yet sassy seperates the women wore. This black and white print jacket rocked the runway , and paired with scrappy sandals and a tshirts dress it gave me Rita Ora/Rihanna vibes.

This bold blue was seen in a lot of collections, and I’m absolutely loving it paired with black! This color block will be perfect for both Fall and Winter. I’m also digging the bold blue shirt seperate that’s worn as a dress in this style. Goin pants-less seemed to be a major theme this year at New York Fashion Week.

I love everything about this look! I’m a big fan of black on black looks, and even if I wasn’t the pieces in this outfit are just freaking excellent! The cut of that skirt is brilliant, and I can see that skirt being flattering on all body types. The jacket and skirt are so sleek, and pull the look together in edgy excellence! It’s very a minimal look but with extra sass. I’d probably rock this with a longer top,but this may very well be my fave look from this collection.

This print broke up the edgy feel of the collection and added a little “soft and prissy” style into the mix. I love how the busy print was utilized with darker colors, and how they added a pop of color by including mulberry accessories and footwear to the style. This look was pulled together in a really cute day-to-night transition way.

New York Fashion Week faves: Alena Akhmadullina

What I loved most about this beautiful collection are the gorgeous hues and prints that were used. The collection was full of sophistication and displayed a somewhat regal feel. It reminds me of a collection a princess would wear as their “casual” wear (because we know their casual isn’t our casual). The dresses were breathtaking ,with just enough sheer aspects to be sexy but enough coverage to keep the pieces classy.

The colors used in the collection make these pieces easily transitional between Spring,Summer, and Fall.

Other standouts included the hot, retro inspired jumpsuits. Everyone loves a good jumpsuit! I like the loose fit of these jumpers, and the fun print, making it a great day to night option. These jumpsuits can easily be worn to work, then taken straight from there to dinner and even a night on the town.

The long coats included in the collection were definitely a hit! These gorgeous hues took the basic trench style to an even higher stylish level. I love the utilitarian green and the bold blue used! It gives off a fun yet still minimal vibe that can work with so many different separates!
